The neighborhood community of Shenandoah is located on the southwest side of Plymouth off of 28th avenue just east of Vicksburg Lane. Oakwood serves over 570 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade providing an excellent educational program designed to foster a lifelong desire to learn. Other schools in the area include Plymouth Creek Elementary School, Central Middle School, Wayzata East Middle School, Wayzata High School, West Lutheran High School, Providence Academy, and Fourth Baptist Christian School.
