Some of the most notable examples include:

Lake Minnetonka: Tonka Bay has access to one of Minnesota’s greatest lakes, Lake Minnetonka. In addition to its scenic beauty, Lake Minnetonka has a number of Yacht clubs, and community events that take place in and around it throughout the year.

Crescent Beach: Jointly owned and operated with the neighboring city of Shorewood, Crescent Beach is a popular summer destination for Tonka Bay residents. The Narrows: A collection of narrow straights running from Lake Minnetonka into the city of Tonka Bay, the Narrows offer visitors great fishing locations as well as sunny picnic areas next to the water. A beautiful destination for a fishing trip or simply a sunny afternoon, the Narrows are one of Tonka Bay’s hidden treasures, and are located on the northern end of the city.

Wekota Beach: Another popular beach within the city of Tonka Bay, Wekota Beach also offers lifeguard services during the summer months. Additionally, the nearby Wekota Park is walking distance from the beach and offers picnic tables, a playground, and tennis courts.
