Shady Hill is a neighborhood of Shorewood that lies on the east side of the city just southeast of the intersection of Highway 7 and Vine Hill Road. The neighborhood is smaller in size with around 43 single family homes with the majority of house styles in featuring a mix of split levels and ranches that are situated on lots with mature trees. Homes for sale within the Shady Hill Neighborhood have prices ranging from $250,000 to $400,000.

 

Shady Hill is close to several of the area’s popular amenities and destinations. One of the closest attractions to Shady Hills is Old Excelsior Commons in Excelsior, MinnesotaLog Theatre where visitors can experience a live theatrical performance. Also located nearby is Purgatory Park in the neighboring City of Minnetonka. Here, visitors can enjoy walking through the scenic park on a variety of trails while enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. The nearest shopping center to the neighborhood is in Downtown Excelsior to the west. Different shops and restaurants located in area include McDonald’s, Maynard’s, Kowalski’s Market, Excelsior Vintage, and more.

 

Residents of Shady Hill are served by Independent School District 276 also known as Minnetonka Public Schools. The Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MinnesotaMinnetonka School District serves 10,400 students in 14 different schools. The closest school to Shady Hill is Minnetonka High School, which serves around 3,000 students in grades 9-12. Minnetonka High School’s average classroom size is around 20 students and has been recognized as one of the Best High Schools in America by U.S. News, World Report, News Week, and Washington Report. Other nearby schools include Clear Springs, Scenic Heights Elementary, and Primrose School of Minnetonka.
