Neighborhood

Waterford is a neighborhood of Waconia that is located in the southwest corner of the city just west off of Highway 284. The neighborhood is still being developed with single family homes for sale featuring prices ranging from $200,000 to $500,000. House styles are primarily two story ramblers and craftsmans. Waterford is an excellent neighborhood with much to offer including great homes, family friendly community, and central location.

Even though Waterford lies on the outskirts of the city, the neighborhood still boast an excellent proximity to several recreational amenities, including Waconia City Park to the north. Waconia Park is medium sized with amenities such as a baseball field and walking trails for residents to enjoy. Another nearby amenity is Safari Island, which offers several amenities for its members such as zero depth entry pool, lap pool, weight room, a 4-level play structure, gym, and exercise room. The nearest shopping center is located near the Ridgeview Medical Center to the northeast. Popular stores and restaurants include Ground Round Grill & Bar, Waconia Ford, UFC Farm Supply, and McDonalds.

Waterford is a part of Independent School District 110, also known as Waconia Public Schools, which serves 3,900 students from 5 different cities and 9 townships. The closest school to the neighborhood is Waconia Middle School, which serves approximately 1,170 students in grades 5-8. Clearwater Middle School has a student/teacher ratio of 17.8. Other nearby schools include Waconia High School, Southview Elementary, and Bayview Elementary School.
