Overview of the Tamarack

Neighborhood

Tamarack is a Minnetonka neighborhood located in the southwest corner of the city, located on the east side of Highway 101 near Purgatory Park. Tamarack is a fairly newer neighborhood with homes for sale featuring primarily two story rambler housing styles. There are around 35 single family homes in the neighborhood. Homes for sale range between $570,000 to $900,000.

Tamarack is close to several of Minnetonka’s finest amenities, including Purgatory Park which lies a couple miles to the east. The park has several recreational amenities such as trails, picnic areas, and picnic shelters.  Another nearby amenity is Glen Lake Golf Course, which is open to the public, and is the perfect recreational course for any skill level with sand and grass bunkers, water hazards, and dramatic elevation changes. The nearest shopping and dining amenities can be found at Ridgedale Shopping Center, which lies a few miles to the north along 394 and contains popular stores such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, JCPenney, and Sears.

Residents of Tamarack are served by Independent School District 276 also known as Minnetonka Public Schools. Minnetonka Public Schools is one of the top school districts in Minnesota and is dedicated to providing students with an excellent education designed to help them excel. The closest school to Tamarack is Minnetonka Middle School East. Minnetonka Middle School East serves 1,000 students in 6th grade through 8th grade, offering a rigorous academic program designed to help students succeed. Other schools in the area include Groveland Elementary School, Deephaven Elementary School, Minnetonka High School, and Minnetonka Christian Academy.
