The Glen neighborhood is located in western Shorewood off of Manitou Road. Glen is an excellent enighborhood featuring great homes, family friendly community, and central location. The neighborhood is average-sized consisting of around 50 single family homes with the majority of homes featuring two story traditional or ranches. Homes for sale within the Glen neighborhood have prices ranging from $300,000 to $580,000.
The Glen neighborhood offers an excellent, central location within Shorewood. For recreational amenities, residents can enjoy Lake Minnewashta to the southwest which has a wide variety of amenities such as volleyball courts, a beach and swimming area, picnic shelters, trails for walking and cross-country skiing, and a playground. Also located nearby to the north is Downtown excelsior, where residents can go for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The Minnetonka School District serves 10,400 students in 14 different schools.The closest school to the Glen neighborhood is Excelsior Elementary School, which is located just a couple miles to the northeast. Excelsior Elementary is ranked in the top ten elementary schools in Minnesota and is a has been named a Minnesota Reward School five times. The school serves approximately 750 students in grades K-5, with a student/teacher ratio of 13.5 Other schools in the area include St. John the Baptist School, Minnetonka Middle School West, and Minnewashta Elementary.
