Neighborhood

Partenwood is a neighborhood of the City of Orono that lies on the south side of Stubbs Bay. Partenwood is a small and quaint neighborhood that is made up of just 13 single family homes that are primarily ranch style. Homes for sale in the neighborhood have prices ranging from $1,000,000 to $2,800,000 in price. Like many of surrounding neighborhoods in the area, homes in Partenwood are situated on the shoreline of the lake, which provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities and a beautiful view.

The Partenwood neighborhood is also close to several of other recreational amenities within the city of Orono, including Norenberg Memorial Park. This beautiful park is regarded as one of the finest gardens in Minnesota and is the perfect destination for a quiet stroll. Another nearby amenity is the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, which lies a couple miles to the east of Partenwood. Minnetonka Center for the Arts offers classes, exhibits, outreach, and a cafe in order to make art accessible to the surrounding community. The closest shopping center is located in downtown Maple Plain to the west. Popular restaurants include Subway, Pete’s Pizza, Blackwater Coffee Co & Cafe, and McGarry’s Pub

Partenwood is served by Independent School District 278, also known as Orono Public Schools, which serves around 2,000 students in grades K-12. All of the Orono schools are uniquely located in one located along Old Crystal Bay Road North and Lake Classen to the west. Orono Intermediate Elementary School serves around 700 students in grades 6-8. Class sizes average around 17 students per teacher. Other schools in the area include Schumann Elementary, Orono Senior High, and Orono Intermediate School.
