Neighborhood

The neighborhood community of Sussex is located in central Orono off of Fox Street just west of Old Crystal Bay Road. Sussex is an excellent neighborhood with much to offer including great homes for sale, family friendly community, and easy access to some of the best amenities in the area. The neighborhood offers large lots with lots of space between each home, providing residents with a rural neighborhood setting. The neighborhood consists of 20 single family homes featuring  traditional housing styles with prices ranging from $1,000,000 to $3,500,000.

Sussex also offers easy access to a wide range of amenities within Orono. Residents of the neighborhood are within close proximity to recreational amenities including Noerenberg Memorial County Park, Minnetonka Center for the Arts, Orono Country Club, and Wolsfeld Woods Scientific and Natural Area. Although there are no shopping centers within Orono, there are several shopping and dining amenities within surrounding communities that residents of Sussex can use. Some of these include Colonial Square in Wayzata, Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, and Plymouth City Center.

Residents of the Sussex neighborhood are served by Independent School District 278 also known as Orono Public Schools. Orono Public Schools serves around 2,000 students in grades K-12. The closest school to Sussex is Orono Intermediate School. Orono INtermediate School serves over 630 students in 3rd through 5th grade, providing students with challenging academic program designed to help them excel. Other schools in the area include Schumann Elementary School, Orono Middle School, and Orono High School.
