The neighborhood community of Drillane is located on the north side of Hopkins off of Oak Ridge Road just north of highway. Drillane is situated among beautiful wooded scenery providing residents with a quiet and secluded neighborhood environment. The closest school to Drillane is Hopkins West Junior High School. Hopkins West Junior High School serves over 900 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, offering a rigorous academic program designed to help students succeed. Other schools in the area include LH Tanglen Elementary School, Alice Smith Elementary School, Hopkins North Junior High School,  Hopkins High School, and Academy of Whole Learning.
