There’s a kind of neighborhood that only time can make. The trees are tall, the yards have settled in, and the houses have stories.

Oak Hill is one of those places. It’s a small neighborhood of about 20 single-family homes in the center of Chaska, off Bavaria Road between Engler Boulevard and Highway 212. The homes were built in the 1970s in traditional and rambler styles, under mature trees.

If you’re thinking of buying here, or wondering about selling, let’s look at it honestly.

What’s my Oak Hill home worth?A clear, local estimate for your street, not just the city average.

Central, and close to everything

Oak Hill is about five minutes from downtown Chaska. Chaska Commons, Veterans Park, Lions Park, the Chaska Community Center and Chaska Community Park are all nearby, along with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and Two Twelve Medical Center. See Chaska community life and Chaska parks and trails.

Golfers have options close by too. More in Chaska golf courses.

What buyers check before they tour

  • Schools: Oak Hill is served by School District 112 (Eastern Carver County Schools). Southwest Christian High School, a private school, is the closest. Other nearby options include Chaska Elementary, Chaska Middle School West and Chaska High School. Boundaries can change, so confirm the assigned schools for any address with the district.
  • 1970s homes: Homes from this era often have good bones and great lots. Look closely at the roof, windows, electrical, mechanicals and any past updates.
  • Commute: Highway 212 is the main route toward Eden Prairie and Minneapolis. Test the drive at rush hour before you buy.

A simple plan for your Oak Hill move

I’ve been helping people buy and sell homes for about two decades, and I started in the trades. With a 1970s home, I can help you see both what it is and what it could become.

2Walk it with a builder’s eyeWe spot what an inspector is likely to flag before it becomes a negotiation.
3Prepare or positionSellers get a prep list and a staging plan. Buyers get a short list of homes that truly fit.
4Move with confidenceOffers, inspections and closing, with one steady guide keeping it calm and on schedule.
