Situated on the west side of Eden Prairie off of Timber Lake Drive just east of Eden Prairie road is the community of Timber Lake. Timber Lake is an excellent family friendly community offering great homes and excellent residents. Residents of Timber Lake are served by Independent School District 272 also known as Eden Prairie Public Schools. Eden Prairie Schools seeks to provide students with a rigorous academic program while fostering a lifelong desire to learn. One of the closest schools to Timber Lake is Cedar Ridge Elementary School. Cedar Ridge serves 750 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade with a student teacher ratio of 16.5. Other schools in the area include Oak Point Elementary School, Central Middle School, Eden Prairie High School, and Hennepin Technical College.
