Located on the western edge of Washington County, Birchwood Village, Minnesota, is a small city with a population nearing 900 residents. Established as a community of summer recreation cottages, which was a vacation spot for wealthier St. Paul residents, Birchwood Village eventually became classified as a village in 1921. Over time, it began to adopt its identity as a small bedroom community that offered a peaceful haven in the midst of a metropolitan area.

The quaint city has a total area of 0.34 square miles, all of which is land. The main route through the city is Cedar Street / Hall Avenue, and the location is adjacent to the south and east shore of White Bear Lake. Although small, Birchwood is perfect for those looking to have a quiet living space.
