The neighborhood community of Wellington is located on the northeast side of Plymouth off of Valley Forge Lane just south of Schmidt Lake Road. Wellington is an older neighborhood community featuring older homes and mature trees. The neighborhood offers a scenic wooded environment, providing residents with a peaceful neighborhood atmosphere. Homes for sale within Wellington feature rambler and traditional housing styles with prices ranging from $250,000 to $500,000. Welling is a great neighborhood with much to offer including excellent homes, family friendly community, and central location.

Wellington offers great location within close proximity to some of the top shopping, dining, and recreational amenities in Plymouth. Residents of the neighborhood also have easy access to several recreational amenities including Rolling Hills Park, Zachary Playfield, Eagle Lake Regional Park, French Regional Park, and Hollydale Golf Course. French Regional Park is located on the north side of Medicine Lake, offering numerous recreational activities including hiking trails, biking trails, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming beach, playground equipment, and more. Residents of Wellington also have easy access to Rockridge Center and Rockford Plaza, offering a wide variety of shopping, dining, and grocery amenities.

Residents of Wellington are served by Independent School District 281 also known as Robbinsdale Public Schools. There are numerous schools within close proximity to Wellington with the closest being Zachary Lane Elementary School. Zachary Lane serves 560 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade with a student teacher ratio of 16.5. Zachary Lane provides an excellent educational program designed to enrich each student’s learning experience by fostering a strong partnership between students, teachers, and parents. Other schools in the area include Pilgrim Lane Elementary School, Zachary Lane Elementary School, Plymouth Middle School, Robbinsdale Armstrong High School, St. Raphael Catholic School, and The FAIR School.
