Locust Hills is a mid-sized neighborhood located in southeast Wayzata near the intersection of McGinty Road West and Highway 101. There are just under 50 single family homes ranging from $1,500,000 to $3,000,000. Homes in Locust Hills are executive style homes. Locust Hills is an excellent enighborhood with much to offer including great homes for sale, family friendly community, and central location.

 

Locust Hills boasts premium location within the City of Wayzata. Located just south of Highway 12, residents have easy access toSign of Dakota Line Trail downtown Wayzata to the west and Interstate 494 to the east. The closest park to Locust Hills is The Big Woods Preserve. The preserve covers 14 acres of wooded land with trails for visitors to venture on. The closest source of entertainment, shopping, and dining can be found a miles to the west in downtown Wayzata. Popular destinations include Chipotle, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry’s, Gianni’s Steakhouse, and Sushi Fix.

 

Residents of Locust Hills are served by Independent School Distirct 284, also known as Wayzata Piublic Schools, which serves a Birchview Elementary School in Plymouth, Minnesotatotal of around 11,000 students in 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 1 high school. Students in Locust Hills attend Birchview Elementary and Wayzata Central Middle School. Birchview Elementary serves around 600 students in grades K-6 and Wayzata Central Middle serves around 1,000 students in grades 6-8. Other Schools in the area include Sunset Hill Elementary School, Wayzata Central Middle School, and Wayzata High School.
