The Hunters Glen neighborhood is located in east Wayzata between Gleason Lake and Gleason Lake Road. Hunters Glen is a small neighborhood, consisting of around 20 executive, single family homes. Hunters Glen boasts premium location within the City of Wayzata. Located just north of Highway 12, residents have easy access to downtown Wayzata to the west and Interstate 494 to the east. One of the closest parks to Hunters Glen is The Big Woods Preserve. The preserve covers 14 acres of wooded land with trails for visitors to venture on. The closest source of entertainment, shopping, and dining can be found a miles to the west in downtown Wayzata. Residents of Hunters Glen are served by Independent School District 284, also known as Wayzata Public Schools, which serves a total of around 11,000 students in 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 1 high school. Students in Hunters Glen attend Birchview Elementary and Wayzata Central Middle School. Birchview Elementary serves around 600 students in grades K-6 and Wayzata Central Middle serves around 1,000 students in grades 6-8. Other Schools in the area include Sunset Hill Elementary School, Wayzata Central Middle School, and Wayzata High School.
