Park Neighborhood


The Tarnhill Park neighborhood is located northwest of the intersection of Normandale Boulevard and 98th Street in Western Bloomington. Tarnhill Park is one of the largest neighborhoods in Bloomington with an estimated size of just over 300 single family homes. On the west side of the neighborhood, prices for homes range between $300,000 to $450,000 in price. Homes on the east side of Tarnhill range between $450,000 to $750,000. House styles are primarily ranches and split levels. Tarnhill Parkhas much to offer including great homes for sale, family friendly community, and central location.

 

The most prominent amenity available to residents of Tarnhill Park are the parks in the surrounding area. Within the Normandale Lake Park in Bloomington, Minnesotaneighborhood itself is Tarnhill Park where visitors can enjoy recreational amenities such as tennis, soccer, basketball, ice skating, volleyball, and more. Located on the northside of Normandale Park are popular shops and restaurants such as Caribou Coffee, Olive Garden, Pancheros Mexican Grill, Marshall’s, and Trader Joe’s. Numerous other shops can be found across Interstate 494 at the Southdale Shopping Center.

 

Tarnhill Park is a part of Independent School District 271, also known Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesotaas Bloomington Public Schools, which has served the entire City of Bloomington since 1917. Bloomington Public Schools seeks to enable students to have successful futures with an emphasis on college and career readiness. Within the neighborhood itself is Normandale Hills Elementary School, which serves around 500 students and has a teacher/student ratio of 16.8. Other nearby schools include Normandale Community College, Bethany Academy, Valley View Elementary School, Valley View mIddle School, and Jefferson High School.
