The Eliot View neighborhood is situated in the northern portion of St. Louis Park in Ward 4. This neighborhood is bordered in the north by the City of Golden Valley, in the south by Cedar Lake Road, in the east by CP railroad, and in the west by Louisiana Avenue. In total, the small residential neighborhood is laid over 239.2 acres and is comprised of 28 residential blocks.
The majority of residents in the Eliot neighborhood reside in the single-family homes, but there are also 8 townhomes, 47 apartments, and 6 duplex units. The neighborhood consists of 511 single family homes, some of which were built before World War II. Within the neighborhood, the average year the houses were built was 1949. Approximately 2,249 residents live in Eliot, and there are a variety of amenities to enjoy within the neighborhood and nearby.
Within the Eliot neighborhood, the majority of businesses are located on the north side. One of the most popular stores in the neighborhood is Frontiersman Sports. This store specializes in buying and selling guns as well as gun accessories. Established in 1967, Frontiersman Sports is one of the best guns stores in Minnesota. Directly across 394 in Golden Valley as well as in other areas of St. Louis Park, Eliot locals have access to a variety of shopping and dining options. The Shops at West End are merely minutes east of the Eliot neighborhood and feature countless stores, restaurants, and entertainment options.
Eliot has two neighborhood parks, which include: Jersey Park, which is a quaint park home to play equipment for children. The park also features basketball and horseshoe courts. Hampshire Park is a small local park within Eliot. This park features large open spaces ideal for various games.
