Estates Neighborhood

Cahill Estates is located in the Southwest quadrant of the city of Edina. It is bordered on the north by 70th Street, on the east by Highway 100, on the south by Interstate 494, and on the west by Cahill Road. Predominantly commercial, the neighborhood derived its name from Edina’s historical Cahill School, initially located on the Southeast corner of the area.

Cahill Estates contains a large industrial park, with nearby retail corridors positioned nearby at 77th & Industrial Blvd, and also a multi-family residential strip on the west side. This residential strip travels along Lewis Ridge Park and borders on both the Dewey Hill Neighborhood and the Prospect Knolls Neighborhood. Housing options include the Highpointe Townhomes, Highlander Townhomes, Village West Townhomes, Lewis Ridge Townhomes & Condos, Chataignier Condos, Dewey Hill Condos, Cahill of Edina Townhomes, and the Pondwood Townhomes. All of these options fluctuate at different prices and features.

Nestled near the west corner of the neighborhood, TJ’s is a dining location where locals will find generous helpings of everything from soup, sandwiches, and salads to pizzas, pasta, and malts. They even serve the ever-popular gyros. This friendly eatery has been growing in popularity over the years, as its owner and staff treat each patron professionally and warmly. While there are not any parks located within the neighborhood, many residents enjoy the scenic Ninemile Creek that winds its way throughout the area. Additionally, if residents do desire a specific park, there are countless options located in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Residents of the Cahill Estates Neighborhood are served by Independent School District 273 also known as Edina Public Schools. Edina Public Schools is a nationally recognized district serving 8,500 students and is dedicated to providing the best educational experience for each students. The closest school to the neighborhood is Valley View Middle School. Valley View Middle School serves 1,396 students in 6th through 9th grade providing an excellent academic program designed to help each succeed. Other schools in the area include Creek Valley Elementary School, Highlands Elementary School, South View Middle School, and Edina High School.
