The Centennial Lakes Neighborhood Association is situated in the Southeast quadrant of the city of Edina. It is bordered on the north by the northern shore of Centennial Lake, on the east by Edinborough Way, on the south by Minnesota Drive, and on the west by France Avenue. This neighborhood is a vibrant community throughout the entire year, whether it be beautiful walks in the summer, or ice-skating in the winter. The local Farmers Market, Whole Foods, and Core Yoga, in addition to Centennial Lakes Park, all contribute to making this neighborhood a go-to destination. Centennial Lakes offers an assortment of 1980’s and 1990’s condos and townhomes.There are several shopping, dining, and entertainment amenities within this neighborhood that all residents can enjoy. Several of these include eateries like Q. Cumbers, Five Guys, and Chuck E. Cheese’s. There is also a bowling alley called Pinstripes that is a popular entertainment option. The rest of the features within the Centennial Lakes neighborhood are found within the local park.
Centennial Lakes Park: The local 24-acre park, Centennial Lakes Park, contains more than 1.5 miles total of elegant paved walking paths circling the lake and its gardens and numerous recreational amenities. With its amphitheater, mini golf, boat rental, lawn bowling field, labyrinth, swinging benches, fountain, warming house, pavilion and ice skating during the winter months, Centennial Lakes is one of the most romantic and scenic parks in the city as well as the state. Visitors love the peaceful ambiance that the park exudes as well as its distinct, upscale beauty. With activities for all ages, guests can play a round of mini golf, feed the ducks in the pond, or simply sit on one of the swinging benches and enjoy the fresh air.
Residents of the Cahill Neighborhood are served by Independent School District 273 also known as Edina Public Schools. Edina Public Schools is a nationally recognized district serving 8,500 students and is dedicated to providing the best educational experience for each students. The closest school to the neighborhood is Valley View Middle School. Valley View Middle School serves 1,396 students in 6th through 9th grade providing an excellent academic program designed to help each succeed. Other schools in the area include Creek Valley Elementary School, Highlands Elementary School, South View Middle School, and Edina High School.
