Timber Shores is located on the western side of the City of Shorewood off of Smithtown Road on the southern banks of Lake Minnetonka. Timber Shores is a smaller neighborhood that is made up of just under 20 single family homes that range between $750,000 to $1,400,000 in price. House styles in the neighborhood are a mix of ramblers and ranches. TImber Shores is a great neighborhood with much to offer including great homes for sale, family friendly community, and convenient location.

The Timber Shores neighborhood offers an excellent, central location within Shorewood. For recreational amenities, residents can enjoy Lake Minnewashta Regional Park to the southwest which has a wide variety of amenities such as volleyball courts, a beach and swimming area, picnic shelters, trails for walking and cross-country skiing, and a playground. Also located nearby to the north is Downtown Excelsior, where residents can go for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Popular destinations include Excelsior Brewing Company, Maynards, Museum of Lake Minnetonka, and the Excelsior Library. Residents can also enjoy a tour of the lake on from the Paradise Charter Cruises and Minneapolis Queen.

Residents of Timber Shores are served by Independent School District 276 also known as Minnetonka Public Schools. The Minnetonka School District serves 10,400 students in 14 different schools.The closest school to the Timber Shores neighborhood is Excelsior Elementary School, which is located just a couple miles to the northeast. Excelsior Elementary is ranked in the top ten elementary schools in Minnesota and is a has been named a Minnesota Reward School five times. The school serves approximately 750 students in grades K-5, with a student/teacher ratio of 13.5 Other schools in the area include St. John the Baptist School, Minnetonka Middle School West, and Minnewashta Elementary.
