Neighborhood

Bracketts neighborhood is located in eastern Shorewood on the southern shore of Galpin Lake. The neighborhood is small, consisting of around 20 single family homes that are a mix of ramblers and ranches. House prices in the neighborhood range between $350,000 to $890,000 in price. The neighborhood is characterized as being densely wooded and having spacious yards.

Bracketts is close to several of the area’s popular shopping, dining, and recreational amenities and destinations. One of the closest attractions to Bracketts is Old Log Theatre where visitors can experience a live theatrical performance. Also located nearby is Purgatory Park in the neighboring City of Minnetonka. Here, visitors can enjoy walking through the scenic park on a variety of trails while enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. The nearest shopping center to the neighborhood is in Downtown Excelsior to the west. Different shops and restaurants located in area include McDonald’s, Maynard’s, Kowalski’s Market, Excelsior Vintage, and more.

Residents of Bracketts are served by Independent School District 276 also known as Minnetonka Public Schools. The Minnetonka School District serves 10,400 students in 14 different schools. The closest school to Bracketts is Deephaven Elementary School. Deephaven is a National School of Excellence and is one of the top elementary schools in the state. The school serves approximately 660 students in grades K-5, with a student/teacher ratio of 15.4.  Other nearby schools include Clear Springs, Scenic Heights Elementary, and Minnetonka High School.
