The Dunwoody neighborhood is located on the on the southwest edge of the City of Orono. Situated on the northern bay of Lake Minnetonka and just south of Downtown Orono, residents of Dunwoody have easy access to the city’s best attractions. The neighborhood itself consists of just over 150 single family homes that range between $300,000 to $2,600,000 in price. There are a wide variety of house styles ranging from ranches to two story ramblers within the neighborhood.
Because of its location on the southern end of the city, residents of Dunwoody have easy access to numerous shopping, dining, and recreational amenities in the surrounding area. The neighborhood is also located near several lakes and bays, which provide an endless amount of recreational amenities and entertainment. Noerenberg Memorial County Park, which is renowned as one of the finest garden in the state, is within a short drive to the north.
Residents of the Dunwoody neighborhood are served by Independent School District 278 also known as Orono Public Schools. Orono Public Schools serves around 2,000 students in grades K-12. The closest school to Dunwoody is Orono Intermediate School. Orono Intermediate School serves over 630 students in 3rd through 5th grade, providing students with challenging academic program designed to help them excel. Other schools in the area include Schumann Elementary School, Orono Middle School, and Orono High School.
