Concord is situated in the Northeast quadrant of the city of Edina. It is bordered on the north by Southview Lane, on the east by Concord and Valley View Roads, on the south by Highway 62, and on the west by Highway 100. The neighborhood hosts three different school facilities, which are Concord Elementary, Normandale Elementary, and Southview Middle School. The Edina Community Center and the Edina High School Stadium are also located within the neighborhood, each of which are significant draws to the community.
The housing options for the 1500 residents consist of homes established predominantly during the 1950’s and 60’s. This neighborhood is primarily residential, with a small park and the school facilities taking up whatever part of the neighborhood is not reserved for housing development.
St. John’s Park: St. John’s Park is a wonderful amenity for the local neighborhood. A large, open space in the midst of a residential area, the park is perfect for throwing a frisbee, playing soccer, sharing a picnic with friends, exercising the dog, or simply going for a stroll.
Residents of the Pamela Park Neighborhood are served by Independent School District 273 also known as Edina Public Schools. Edina Public Schools is a nationally recognized district serving 8,500 students and is dedicated to providing the best educational experience for each students. The closest school to the neighborhood is Concord Elementary School. Concord Elementary is one of six elementary schools in the district and is recognized by the state as a 5 star school. Concord serves serves 720 students and has a student/teacher ratio of 15.6. Other schools in the area include South View Middle School, Highlands Elementary School, Valley View Middle School, and Edina High School.
