The Nantucket neighborhood is located in in southwest Minnetonka by the intersection of Scenic Lane and Nantucket Place. Nantucket is an average size neighborhood with about 40 single family homes. House styles in Nantucket are a mix of ranches and two story traditionals that range between $300,000 to $800,000.
Nantucket is close to several of Minnetonka’s finest amenities, including Purgatory Park which lies a couple miles to the west. The park has several recreational amenities such as trails, picnic areas, and picnic shelters. Another nearby amenity is Glen Lake Golf Course, which is open to the public, and is the perfect recreational course for any skill level with sand and grass bunkers, water hazards, and dramatic elevation changes. The nearest shopping and dining amenities can be found at Ridgedale Shopping Center, which lies a few miles to the north along 394 and contains popular stores such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, JCPenney, and Sears.
Residents of Nantucket are served by Independent School District 276 also known as Minnetonka Public Schools. Minnetonka Public Schools serves 10,400 students in 14 different schools. The closest school to Nantucket is Scenic Heights Elementary School, which lies just to the north. The school serves around 700 students and a student/teacher ratio of 16, serving students in grades K-6. Other nearby schools include Hopkins Montessori School, International School, Notre Dame Academy, and Glen Lake Elementary School.
