Greentree Forest is located in southwest Plymouth by the intersection of County Road 24 and 101. Greentree Forest is a larger neighborhood, consisting of around 150 single family homes ranging between $300,000 to $550,000. The majority of homes for sale in the neighborhood feature traditional two story and ranch housing styles.

Greentree Forest boasts excellent location within close proximity to some of the top shopping, dining, and recreational amenities in the area. Residents of the neighborhood have easy access to a wide variety of amenities including Hollydale Golf Course, Medina Golf and Country Club, Plymouth City Center, Parkers Lake Park, French Regional Park, and Rockford Plaza. Shiloh Park lies just a couple miles east of Greentree Forest and offers a wide variety of recreational amenities such as trails, a playground, and a basketball court. Residents of Amber Woods also have easy access to Plymouth City Center and Rockford Plaza, offering some of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment amenities in the area.

Residents of Greentree Forest are served by Independent School District 284 also known as Wayzata Public Schools. Wayzata Public Schools is an excellent school district dedicated to providing students with an exceptional education designed to inspire them and help them excel. The closest school to Greentree Forest is Oakwood Elementary School. Oakwood serves  575 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade providing an excellent educational program designed to enrich each student’s learning experience. Other schools in the area include Plymouth Creek Elementary School, Central Middle School, Wayzata High School, West Lutheran High School, Providence Academy, and Fourth Baptist Christian School.
