St. Bonifacius public schools are located within the Waconia Public School District, also referred to as ISD 110, may not be the biggest in the area, but they are known for being one of the best quality districts. The entire district received the “Green Ribbon School” award from the U.S. Department of Education in 2014. The district services to students who reside in Waconia, Minnetrista, St. Bonifacius, and New Germany. The district’s smaller size allows the staff to focus on students as individuals and meet their academic, emotional, artistic, health, and athletic needs. The district contains two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and a learning center.
Located in the nearby city of Waconia, the Waconia Learning Center provides quality educational programming to students that are qualified. It offers a unique way of learning and is perfect for students that do not learn the way most of their peers may. The program works with the student’s parents in order to target the best way for the student to learn, and ultimately, succeed.
Southview elementary seeks to provide an environment where three goals are met, which are “learn”, “respect”, and “belong.” Southview understands that their main focuses is to provide the best education possible. Along with this, they strive to produce well-rounded students that are more then ready for life’s challenges after they move on.
The main high school in the district is Waconia High School. The high school offers both Advanced Placement, as well as several preparatory courses. Each student graduate is well-equipped for their postsecondary aspirations. The school offers 20 different sports programs through the spring, winter, and fall seasons, as well as an array of arts and leadership clubs.
