Norwood Young America is a smaller community located west of the Twin Cities metro. It features a number of outdoor recreational options available for its residents. Willkommen Memorial Park: Taking its name from its German heritage, Willkommen Memorial Park serves as a welcoming park for Norwood Young America’s visitors. With a baseball field, pavilion, gazebo, picnic shelter, playground, and restrooms, this park offers all of the amenities needed for a wondefful afternoon at the park. Many baseball tournaments are hosted here as it is the home of the Young America Cardinals baseball team. In addition, it features a historic Olde Towne in the park. This offers children and families alike a glimpse at what historic homes were like in the area. Willkommen Memorial Park is the host of the annual Stiftungsfest celebration, Norwood Young America’s most popular event.

Sports Complex: The Norwood Young America Sports Complex is the home to many of the city’s recreational and league-based sporting teams, including the Norwood Indians baseball team. With a baseball field, two softball fields, playground, a picnic shelter area, and restroom facilities, the Sports Complex is the perfect site for family recreation as well as community league sports. It is a particularly active community destination during the summer months.
