Mound, Minnesota, a western suburb of the Twin Cities, is the home of just 9,000 residents who enjoy the city’s historical value, as well as the way of life it offers in the Lake Minnetonka area. Covering an area of about 3.18-square miles, nearly half of the geographic region of Mound is covered by water. This abundance of water promotes a community that lives in and around the lakeshore. The main routes through the city of Mound are County Roads 15 and 110. County road 15 connects to State Highway 12 which eventually merges into Interstate 394- a straight shot towards Minneapolis.
