Located in the southwest end of Dakota County, Hampton, Minnesota is a small town of around 700 residents. The city of Hampton is about half an hour south of St. Paul, and 40 minutes southwest of Minneapolis. Three of the main routes in the city are U.S. Highway 52 and State Highways 50 and 56.
Hampton has a total geographical area of 1.36 square miles of which almost all of it is land. As a developing city, Hampton has increased its population by over 200 within a decade, and is still continuing to grow. Still, the city offers a peaceful escape from the busy city life, and acts as a haven for many commuters that are employed in larger business districts.
