One great amenity is the Library. The Columbia Heights Public Library is a city-owned library that serves the community. Throughout the year, the local library offers many special events, including stories, free programs focused around technology and STEM concepts, a reading group, and more.

The Hylander Center is an excellent amenity available to Columbia Heights residents. The Hylander Center is a gymnasium and exercise facility run by the city of Columbia Heights. One major landmark in the City of Columbia Heights is the Heights Theater. Established in 1926, the Heights Theater is a classic historic theater originally built to showcase local talent. Today, the theater is restored to its original glory and is still in use. The theater offers first run films, classic films, silent films, and special events.
