Centerville has beautiful natural resources and seeks to preserve the natural environment. With six developed city parks, trails, as well as Anoka County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park, there is something for all residents.

Corner Stone Park: The city’s newest addition to the parks system. The special feature at the park is the Veteran’s Memorial. The memorial was built in memory of all veterans, and there was a flag raising ceremony to honor all who have served. Other amenities within the small park include a small courtyard, plantings, and a kiosk.

Laurie LaMotte Park: One of the larger city parks within Centerville. The park features a playground built in 2005, pavilions for shade or picnics as well as a paved biking and walking trail that leads to Anoka County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park. Residents also enjoy many sports options with two soccer fields and three softball fields with spectator bleachers. In the winter months, Laurie LaMotte offers a hockey rink, pleasure rink, and warming house.

Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve: A 5,500 acre park situated in the heart of Lino Lakes, with a portion in Centerville. Rice Creek is one of the largest in the seven county metropolitan area and has much to offer. Some of the most popular options within the park reserve include Wargo Nature Center, Chomonix Golf Course, Rice Creek Campground, and Centerville Lake Beach. The park also offers picnic areas, boat launch facilities, biking and hiking trails, playgrounds, and a fishing pier. Because of its close proximity, Centerville residents take advantage of these nearby amenities.

Wargo Nature Center: An excellent resource for Centerville residents. The Joseph E. Wargo Nature Center is nestled on a peninsula overlooking George Watch Lake. Wargo is an outdoor learning center and also has a visitors’ center. Visitors can also rent canoes, kayaks, snowshoes, and kicksleds for year round fun. Wargo is accessible by road and also by a brand new bike trail. For those seeking to enjoy and learn about nature, Wargo Nature Center is the ideal amenity.

Chomonix Golf Course: Located within Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve. This course challenges golfers of all abilities and offers a true North Woods experience. Chomonix is an affordable course featuring maturing tree lined fairways, water hazards on seven holes, and abundant wildlife.
