Loveland Park: This is the second largest park in Newport covering 67 acres. The park was established in 1970 on land donated by the Bailey family. The south side of the park is devoted to 4 miles of hiking trails offering beautiful views.

Bailey Park: This park serves two different functions for the city of Newport. The park features hiking trails where residents can get out and enjoy the beautiful landscape and wildlife in the area. Bailey Park is also a school forest where students in the South Washington County School District can come and learn about the environment. Bailey Park is an 80-acre park donated by Gordon Bailey Sr. Bailey Park is an important part of the education curriculum in the South Washington County School district as over 30,000 students have visited the park over the last 13 years and have experienced hands-on opportunities to interact with nature.

Pioneer Park: As the oldest park in Newport and was made as a way to set aside land for public recreation in an area that was increasing in development. The park features pavilions, grills, a volleyball court, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, and a basketball court. Pioneer park is a great place for residents to enjoy the beauty of Newport and experience part of the city’s history.
