Cimarron East is situated in southwest Plymouth just northwest of the intersection of 494 and County Road 6. Houses in Cimarron are a mix of duplexes and single family homes. Oakwood serves over 570 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade providing an excellent educational program designed to foster a lifelong desire to learn. Other schools in the area include Plymouth Creek Elementary School, Central Middle School, Wayzata East Middle School, Wayzata High School, West Lutheran High School, Providence Academy, and Fourth Baptist Christian School.
