The Camden community is a collection of 7 neighborhoods and 2 industrial sectors located in the northwestern section of the city of Minneapolis. The area is home to 30,000 residents of varying racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. While not the most active nor most crowded community within Minneapolis, Camden offers its residents a primarily residential way of life. There are not very many large businesses located in the community, but Camden’s residents are within walking distance of some of Minneapolis’s greatest dining, shopping and entertainment locations. Camden makes a popular location for those who would like to live close to their employment area, but far enough away to not have to live in the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The major highway that passes through the Camden Community is Interstate 94, which runs from the northern portion to the southern. This allows for most commutes to the heart of the downtown area to be between 5 and 10 minutes of travel. Another major landmark in the community is the Mississippi River. This river adds to the natural beauty of this wonderful location. Please feel free to view our supporting articles that provide more information about this community and its neighborhoods.
