Some of the most notable parks include:

What’s my home worth?A clear, local estimate for your street, not just the city.

Wagner Park: Wagner Park is the largest community park in the city at 12.57 acres. A central location for the Elko community, the park is rich with amenities for visitors to enjoy. With baseball and softball fields, a conservation area, hockey rink, horseshoe pits, picnic facilities, a playground, restrooms, a skate park, and a volleyball court, there is something for everyone at Wagner Park. Both passive and active outdoor enthusiasts can appreciate the variety of amenities available at Wagner Park.

Windrose Park East: Windrose Park East is a large community park located on the eastern side of the city. Heavily wooded, the park offers visitors an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Additionally, guests can make use of trails that wind through the park to gain further appreciation for the natural beauty. During the winter months, snowshoeing becomes an option, and many residents enjoy the ability to be active despite the cold. The park also offers a picnic shelter, restrooms, and soccer fields.

Elko North Park: Elko North Park is a large conservation area set aside for natural wildlife. Passive enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of plant and animal life that can be seen in the area and the peaceful atmosphere that it holds. As one of the only conservation areas in the city, Elko North Park holds a special place in the community’s heart.

Pete’s Hill Park: A special-use park located near the southeastern border of the city, Pete’s Hill Park is perfect for passive recreation enthusiasts. The park is one of the largest in the city but is very much so undeveloped. Offering biking and hiking trails all throughout and a picnic area for guests, Pete’s Hill Park is a great destination for a sunny afternoon picnic with a loved one.

City Hall Park: A small, mini park located near the heart of the city, City Hall Park is an important location for the community. In addition to hosting softball games on its field, the park offers visitors picnic facilities, a playground, and restrooms. These wonderful amenities make it an ideal location for a summer evening. Residents are encouraged to come and watch a ball game or even start their own.
