Centerville, Minnesota is located 30 minutes north of the Twin Cities in Anoka County. It is a beautiful and quiet community situated between Peltier Lake and Centerville Lake, making it easy to feel you are a long way from the Twin Cities. The community has thrived because of its focus, tradition, and progress. Centerville is a strong and close-knit community where residents feel at home and connected to one another. One of the biggest events in Centerville is the celebration of Fete des Lacs or Festival on the Lakes. Fete des Lacs is an annual celebration that offers numerous activities including fireworks, kids ½ mile run, 8k and 5k walks/runs, softball tournament, kickball tournament, and inflatable rides. The Centennial Fire District also offers an open house allowing residents view and learn about fire trucks. Fete des Lacs is a great way to meet new people, grow relationships, and get connected to the community.
Although the city of Centerville does not have an abundance of events and amenities, its location and outdoor activities more than make up for it. Because Centerville is in close proximity to Minneapolis, St. Paul, and other suburban cities, residents have plenty of options when it comes to entertainment needs. Centerville offers a quiet community situated between two lakes, providing residents with numerous water related activities and beautiful scenery. Centerville is the perfect destination for anyone looking for that northern Minnesota feel while still being close to the Twin Cities.
