Lilydale, Minnesota is a small community in Dakota County comprised of 0.87 square miles. Situated on the Mississippi River, Lilydale is home to about 870 residents. This city is a unique town within minutes of Minneapolis and Saint Paul that offers great views, amenities, and thriving businesses while maintaining the feel of both country and city.
Lilydaze, established in 2011, is a festival to promote the City of Lilydale. The event takes place in September with the focus on food, fun, and friendship. Lilydaze is a free festival with fun for all ages. Locals enjoy kids activities, live music, food, a photo contest, a 5K, and much more. At Lilydaze, businesses are welcome to educate and promote local business within Lilydale. The festival brings a sense of pride to residents, and Lilydaze draws the community together.
The City of Lilydale has much to offer. Most of the population live in condominiums, townhomes, and apartments on the bluffs, which provide beautiful scenery of the Mississippi River. For those who live on the foot of the bluffs, there is easy access to an abundance of parks and trails. Lilydale Regional Park and the Big Rivers Regional Trail are popular among locals. Big Rivers Regional Trail connects to Ft. Snelling Regional State Park, and Lilydale Regional Park connects with Harriet Island Regional Park and downtown St. Paul, which gives residents many options and opportunities. Because of its close proximity to the Twin Cities Metropolitan area, Lilydale locals enjoy the big city amenities of the Twin Cities within minutes of home while still maintaining a small town feel.
