Located in Chanhassen northwest of Highway 5 and Powers Blvd, Lake Ann is one of the deepest lakes in the watershed district. It is surrounded by open hills and trees, with very little development on its shores. Lake Ann Park is a popular place for a swim. If planning a trip to the lake, keep in mind that only boats with electric motors and carry-on craft are permitted.

It covers 119 acres and has a maximum depth of 40 ft but an average depth of around 16 feet. Blue Gill, White Sucker, Black Crappie, and Yellow Perch are the most abundant common fish species found in Lake Ann. Lake Ann Park is a community park and has boat ramp, swimming beach, trails and picnic areas, and fishing dock amenities.

Lake Ann is directly connected to Lake Lucy by a small channel along the northern edge.  It is considered part of the Riley Creek chain of lakes.

Lake Ann Park is Chanhassen’s premier community park! This 102-acre park is located at 1456 West 78th Street. The park has gently rolling hills, while the western quarter of the park is in dense tree cover.

Lake Ann Park is so special due to the presence of beautiful Lake Ann. This quiet (non-motorized) lake offers solitude, clean water, and 100% undeveloped shores. The beach has lifeguards on duty from approximately the second week of June until approximately the third week in August. Typically lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily (weather permitting).

Concessions and boat rentals are available daily during the summer months from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Other amenities include two picnic/recreation shelters, reservation picnic sites, tennis court, six lighted ball fields, a soccer field, canoe racks available for rent, volleyball, trails, boat access, and a fishing pier. Come and enjoy beautiful Lake Ann Park!

Pets are not allowed in public beach areas. However, walking leashed dogs is allowed on city trails and streets.
