The City of Cottage Grove, Minnesota is located in Washington County 10 miles south of the Twin Cities. Platted in 1871, Cottage Grove covers 33.62 square miles of land and 3.86 square miles of water. Situated on the north bank of the Mississippi River, the city is a thriving, friendly community with a present day population of 35,399.
