The city of Farmington maintains a wide range of parkland. The Farmington community currently offers 913 acres of parkland open space, natural areas for residents to participate in active or passive activities. Approximately 48 miles of paved trails, nature trails, and boardwalks provide opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. There are a multitude of different recreational activities available at all 23 Farmington parks. Some of the most notable parks include:

Daisy Knoll Park: Located in the northwest part of Farmington, Daisy Knoll Park spans 25 acres of rolling hills. In the winter months, residents enjoy the park’s popular sledding hill. During the summer, the park’s baseball diamond and basketball court are in full use. A natural area with forests and lawns is also featured along with other amenities like playground equipment, picnic tables, paved pathways, and grills.         

North Creek Park: Situated on around 8 acres of land, North Creek Park is a popular destination for outdoor recreational activities throughout the year. Residents enjoy traversing on the extensive hard surface trails and natural wooded areas, whether it be cross-country skiing or biking. The park’s ice skating rinks are in high use in the winter, along with the city maintained warming houses. In the warmer months, North Creek Park is alive with activity. Residents can be seen playing on the park’s volleyball and basketball courts, along with its full-sized baseball diamond.

Farmington Preserve Park: One of Farmington’s largest parks is Farmington Preserve Park, which covers almost 70 acres of land. The park is located in Central Farmington and is close to the local high school and elementary school. The park contains baseball diamonds, basketball courts, playground equipment, and hard and soft surface trails. The park is also a beautiful location for picnicking picnic tables, grills, and a picnic shelter. The most notable attraction, however, is the expansive wooded natural area.  

Pine Knoll Park: Also located in Central Farmington, Pine Knoll Park is one of Farmington’s smallest parks with just 3.7 acres of land. The park contains playground equipment, a basketball court, and a baseball diamond. The park’s hard-surface walking trails are also a popular feature that residents enjoy throughout the year. A wooded and nature is also located within the park, along with picnic tables and grills.

Evergreen Knoll Park: With four of Farmington’s schools nearby, Evergreen Knoll Park is one Of Farmington’s most popular parks. The park covers just 5 acres of land, but its popularity is mainly credited to Farmington Outdoor Pool which is located within the park. The Farmington Pool offers several amenities including a small drop slide, diving bay with one and two meter boards, wading pool, funbrellas, chaise lounge chairs, picnic tables, and open lockers. The park also maintains playground equipment, volleyball courts, and basketball courts.
