The city of Falcon Heights, Minnesota is served by the neighboring Roseville Area School District (ISD 623). The district is home to seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. The mission of the Roseville Area School District is to provide, “quality teaching and learning for all…equity for all.” The Roseville Area School District is made up of 7 different communities: Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Little Canada, Lauderdale, Maplewood, Roseville, and Shoreview. This unique aspect of the School District, allows students to meet and build relationships with students from many different cultures, families, and areas.

Students of Falcon Heights attend the Falcon Heights Elementary School, Roseville Middle School, and Roseville High School. Falcon Heights Elementary is home to 485 students in grades K-6. The Falcon Heights staff is, “committed to assuring that each child strives for proficiency in all academic areas and in our Falcon Four – Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Belong”. Falcon Heights Elementary provides an environment conducive to learning, growth, and the building of social skills in elementary students. The elementary school is the only school located within the city limits.

Roseville Middle School is a 7th and 8th grade facility serving around 900 students. Rather than being divided into home rooms, all students are placed into one of three teams. 7th graders are placed on Pegasus, Supernova, or Cosmos. Once in 8th grade, teams become Team Red Giant, Team Aquarius, and Team Dorado. This unique system of teams enables students to get know one another at a deeper level while building a tightly-knit community. At Roseville Middle School, faculty are “excited to meet the academic, emotional, and social needs of all of our students and to do this we must know them by Name and Need. We believe that a rigorous and engaging curriculum promoting learning, coupled with caring and instructionally effective staff, will guide us in the school district’s Equity Mission: “Quality teaching and learning for all …equity in all we do.”

Roseville High School serves 9th-12th grade students from the aforementioned 7 communities. It operates on a trimester system and offers an assortment of Advanced Placement (AP), College in the Schools (CIS), and Honors programs. When it comes to athletics and on-campus activities, Roseville High School has lots of options. A member of the Suburban East Conference, Roseville High School students can compete in cross country, football, cheerleading, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball, alpine and nordic skiing, basketball, dance, gymnastics, hockey, wrestling, baseball, golf, lacrosse, softball, and track and field. Additionally, Roseville High School has over 60 extra-curricular clubs and activities. Students are encouraged to get involved in after-school activities as well as to pursue higher-education credit opportunities whenever possible.
