Preston Trail is located on the northeast side of Minnetonka off of Ford Road just north of Cedar Lake Road. The closest school to Preston Trail is Hopkins North Junior High School. Hopkins West serves over 900 students in 6th through 8th grade, offering a challenging academic program designed to help students succeed. Other schools in the area include Eisenhower Elementary School, Alice Smith Elementary School, Hopkins West Junior High School,  Hopkins High School, and Minnetonka Christian Academy.
